This 27 acre, 27 story resort overlooks Downtown Disney and the Walt Disney World Resort property and offers a great place to stay near the magic of Disney in style at a sophisticated 4 star hotel.

Room types available: Standard Guest rooms, Suites and premium Suites. All rooms are available with various view categories from resort view to a Disney parks fireworks view. We had a fireworks park view and could see both Epcot and Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony.

 What are the Dining options? Will I go hungry?
Buena Vista Palace and Hotel has several onsite options for dining plus you are minutes from Downtown Disney you can walk over and have access to dozen of places to choose from. On site at Buena Vista Palace your options are:
  • one80 Sportgrill & Bar  – Immerse yourself in this energized atmosphere with a menu of American favorites, family games and a network of over 40 TV’s broadcasting the biggest games!
  • The Watercress Café – Take in our lakeside view as you dine for breakfast and lunch. Your family can enjoy a buffet breakfast with their favorite Disney characters every Sunday morning.
  • The Watercress Cafe Mini Market is open early morning to late night serving Starbucks Coffee, breakfast pastries and cereals, prepared salads and sandwiches, on-the go drinks, snacks and convenience items.
  • Lobby LoungeElegantly relaxing, serving handcrafted cocktails, fine wines and lite appetizers.
  • Recreation Island –  Visit us poolside at the Shipwreck Bar, featuring full bar service and grill items of your summertime favorites. Chill out with our Island Cocktail and refreshing smoothies and snacks.

My kids like to swim, how are the pools?
There are three pools on property with two of them pools located near each other on Recreation Island. The pool area is spacious but nothing to write home to mom about. The pools are wet and cool and one has a shaded area which is great if you want to relax out of the sun.  There are also 2 hot tubs under the covered area which are great to unwind in after a long day on your feet. The playground of the resort is located near the pools on Recreation Island which would be great if you have kids that want to swim a little then play a little. There are plenty of deck chairs and some tables with chairs as well. There is a pool bar, Shipwreck Bar with drinks and snacks from the grill.

What are my Transportation Options?
Buena Vista Palace offers bus transportation to all the parks, downtown Disney and the Water parks. The bus is shared and goes to all the parks and runs every 20-30 minutes. There is no charge to use the bus. You can also walk over to Downtown Disney, the sidewalks are large and there is a crosswalk with crossing lights making it a safe trip.
They also run a shuttle to the Orlando International Airport serviced by Mears (for a fee).

Who should stay here?
This resort is a great place to stay for anyone that wants to be close to the magic of Disney without overload or the big price tag that comes with a 4 star resort. Couples will like the quite resort and its sophisticated décor. Guests staying for a longer stay will like the big guest rooms and affordable suites. This is a great home base resort for seeing other Orlando parks and Disney on your visit. If you want a laid back place to relax without visiting the parks every day Buena Vista Palace has some onsite dining, recreation options such as tennis and volleyball and a full service spa.
