Quick Tip- Get the Drive-in Experience Without the Traffic

Did you know all the Disney resorts host movies under the stars at Walt Disney World? Most take place near their main pool, on the beach, or by the recreation area; they are free, and they show family friendly (and of course Disney) movies. Families love kicking back and watching some of their favorite hits together and taking a little break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. At some locations you can make s’mores or run to the food court for some snacks, and if you get to the part of a movie you’re not a fan of (Toy Story 3 I’m talking about your scary and sad ending) you can head off to hop back in the pool or warm up in the hot tub.

When you check in at your resort you will be given a schedule with the movies and location as part of the resort activities. If you don’t see a activity schedule in your packet be sure to ask. In the winter season they are offered a few times a week, in summer it’s a nightly event. Some top spots to check out are Fort Wilderness where Chip and Dale host a campfire and sing a long before the movie and my personal favorite the Grand Floridian where you can also catch Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant. And even if you are not staying at a particular Disney resort like Fort Wilderness the activity is open to all Walt Disney World guests.
