Where in the world have you been?

Welllll just about everywhere except “the World”. February and March have flown by in a scurry of activity. I did a few updates to the blog on the road but they didn’t post.

We got a new puppy, named Rolo. He is a precious sweet pup. He is now 6 months old and very well behaved. A mix of English Setter and Terrier is what the rescue had him listed as. He should be about 30-40 lbs or so. Well when we picked him up the gal said he was about 14 lbs, try 25, now he has gained another 10 and the vet says she sees some Saint Bernard in him. Regardless of how big he is going to get he is a great addition to the family.

In late February I headed to Disneyland for 10 days. I did some on site training, got to tour a slew of hotels and of course visit the parks. Hubby came out to join me to celebrate our anniversary we did some other touring in the area: Hollywood, Simi Valley, Santa Monica and Malibu before heading back to Disneyland for a few nights.

In March my birthday came and went quickly (they do that once you reach a certain age) and then our daughter turned 12. We were preparing for our Spring break trip to Texas when I stumbled upon a last minute deal on a Disney Cruise. It was too good to pass up, we worked out a few kinks and nixed out Texas plans to head off on the Magic. We were able to surprise the kids with the change on our daughters actual birthday. While excited my ever relaxed laid back 8 year old did express his disappointment he wouldn’t get a doughnut as big as his head (google Round Rock Doughnuts) but I told him they had Krispy Kreme on board so he was ok with it. We booked 4 days out from sailing. Trying to get everything together and packed was so stressful but we managed and only left about 3 hours later than we wanted to for our long drive to Port Canaveral.

Since returning home life has been one crazy day after another. I guess that’s normal pretty much. Softball season is in full swing for Abigail, she made the school team this year (as  a 6th grader), and there are a lot of games. Add in the regular spring rush and preparation for Easter activities and half of April is now gone too. On my to do list soon is some updates including adding Disneyland reports a review from our Disney magic Cruise.
