My Favorite Quick Service Dining Meals at Walt Disney World

I am often asked what some of my favorite dining spots are in the World. We have eaten at 90% of the restaurants inside Walt Disney World so I feel like I have pretty good handle on what there is out there. Some we go back to time and time again, some once or twice is more than enough. I have put together my favorite quick service dining spots inside the World.

Magic Kingdom

  1. Pecos Bills, Frontierland. Hamburgers with all the fixings. I like mine loaded with onions and mushrooms and topped with cheese. It’s a good thing calories don’t count inside Walt Disney World.
  2. Casey’s Corner, Main Street USA. Hot dogs and corn dog nuggets. The kids love watching old sports cartoons while we eat on the bleachers. The hot dogs are large, a great option for splitting a meal.
  3. Columbia Harbor House, Liberty Square. Fish, shrimp and sea food. The upstairs seating is a great place to relax in some peace and quiet. My favorite dish is the Lighthouse Sandwich, a light option made with hummus and broccoli slaw. Swap out the fries for broccoli and you have a lighter option.
  4. Pinocchio’s Village Haus, Fantasyland- flatbread pizzas. The tomato basil soup and breadsticks also make a great meal.
  5. Tortuga Tavern, Adventureland. If you are in the mood for tacos it can’t be beat. This pirate themed spots is only open for lunch and features kids meals complete with a treasure chest.
  6. Be Our Guest, Fantasyland. Although this is Magic Kingdom’s newest dining location and very popular, it makes the list for atmosphere for me. The food is good and options are a step above your normal quick service but the long lines and the no substitution rules do not make it a big hit for me.

Snacks to make note of: Dole Whip, Aloha Aisle in Adventureland; Egg Rolls, cart in Adventureland; Hand scooped Ice Cream sandwiches, Sleepy Hollow Treats, Liberty Square; Sweet Cream Cheese pretzels, The Lunching pad in Tomorrowland; Turkey Legs, Frontierland.

Epcot

  1. Tangerine Café, Morroco. Swarma platters or a falafel wrap are my go to meals. I love the sides as well, with the cous cous salad being my favorite. Kids menu here is limited.
  2. Sunshine Season food court, the Land. A little of something for everyone and every mood. From sandwiches to stir fry you can get something to please everyone in your family all in one spot.
  3. Karamell Kuche, Germany. While technically what most consider a meal this caramel shop deserves meal status or at least a stop for a nice snack. I like the salted milk chocolate caramels and the caramel pineapple spears.

Snacks to make note of: Salted Caramels from Karamell Kuche, so good they deserve a mention twice; Free soda samples from around the world in Club Cool, Future World; Chicken Cheese Poppers, Canada.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  1. Toy Story Pizza Planet. This is like picking the best of the worst. The QS locations at this park are lacking. Pizza Planet has a nice sandwich options and salad and most kids love the pizza.
  2. Starring Rolls Bakery. Only serving breakfast and lunch this small eatery specializes in pastries, cupcakes, and sandwiches. I don’t eat there often as the sandwiches are pre made and often with condiments I detest.

Snacks to make note of: Carrot Cake Cookies, the Writers Stop; Butterfinger Cupcakes, Starring Rolls Bakery.

Animal Kingdom

  1. Flame Tree BBQ. Smoke meats and a great shady spot to eat with a view of Expedition Everest make this my go to at Animal Kingdom. My kids love that they can get chicken legs as their kids meal. Onions rings make a nice shareable side here. The pulled pork sandwich and ribs and chicken platter are the signature dishes.
  2. Yak and Yeti take out window.  Asian food for the average American tastes. Familiar dishes like chicken fried rice and lo main. Seating is out doors.
  3. Restaurantosaurus the air conditioning here makes it worth a stop on hot summer days. Burgers and fries.

Snacks to make note of: Jalapeno Cheese stuffed pretzels, Harambe Fruit cart, Africa.

Great Snacks anywhere in the World
Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches
Mickey Pretzels
Mickey Rice Krispie treats (any kind but dipped in white chocolate and rolled in Reese’s pieces is my favorite)
Churros (according to my children they are better when served in an R2-D2 bucket)
Popcorn
