Quick Tip- Dining options without making reservations

Where to eat with no reservations?

Some find it hard to believe that one would not make dining reservations for their trip. Some find it crazy to know where you want to eat 180 days out and make reservations. This tip is for the second set of people.  While many restaurants  do book up at Walt Disney World ahead of time, there are some options that rarely book up. Did you know any restaurant can check all dining openings at WDW if you stop by their podium?  If you arrive at the park with no plans stop by guest services or any table service dining location and see what is available that day. If you have no reservation and are hungry, don’t despair you can still find some great options. Be flexible with your times, if you have a large party split into smaller ones, check for openings when meals are swapping over from lunch to dinner or closer to closing time of the park. If that doesn’t work some great options for each park that rarely book up and you can often walk up to and get in are:

Magic Kingdom area- The Wave at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian Cafe at Grand Floridian, Kona Cafe at Polynesian Resort. In park your best bet is Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) or Tony’s Town Square (lunch).

Epcot- Biergarten, Nine Dragons, Restaurant Marrakesh

Disney’s Hollywood Studios- Hollywood Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine (dinner)

Animal Kingdom- Rainforest Cafe, Yak and Yeti
